Progress Update:

Tucker's doing such a good job with our wood floors! They're so pretty!!!
Here's what the doors look like now. I really like them and think they'll look great with our island (behind them). And they'll look great with the new wood floors.
Yea! Tucker's giving us lights. We didn't have any lights on the ceiling in the living and dining room and kitchen (after we took out the fluorescent light box). Notice the ceiling is now popcorn free and beautiful too, thanks to the Tuckman.
Here I am sanding the cabinets. We're putting a new finish on them. I'm making them look old and ohmygoodness, it's soooo much work! I sanded, painted primer, painted green, painted green again, sanded, stained, put sealer on, sanded and put sealer on again. They're looking really good though. I'll send a picture once I have them all up.

More work!

My mom and dad came up for a week, and my dad helped us knock down the walls and patch the ceiling. Thanks Dad!

Here's the old entryway. The tile is tile that is made to look like wood parkay... We've gotten rid of the tile and the popcorn on the ceiling.

What we've "done to the place"

So, it just keeps getting better. Who would've thought we had bright orange laminate under our carpet. Looks great with the Southwestern kitchen.
So, now we're living in two rooms. Our bedroom and our office/living room/dining room.
Here is the living room with the beautiful wood paneling. It's amazing, after we knocked it down there was just drywall up, and we felt like that was an improvement in itself! It was just so dark in the room with the paneling everywhere.
Our living area was divided into a formal dining room, kitchen, breakfast nook, formal sitting room, and living room. A little too many small rooms for us. Here was the formal dining room.

This is our kitchen before. Southwestern at its finest! The wallpaper has turquoise and pink to match the pink countertops. The backsplash is pink tile.

Are we done yet?

Tucker and I decided to knock down walls, expand our kitchen, put new floors in our house, new countertops, put lights in, and some other stuff. The sad part is that we decided to do all of this ourselves. The good part is that my husband is a rocket scientist... so he can pretty much figure out how to do anything!
We just got on a timeline because we're refinancing our house. The appraiser is coming in a week to see what we've "done to the place." Well, as you can see, we've torn it up. We've been working till about midnight or later the past week trying to get things not torn up for the appraiser. Here are some pics of what we've "done to the place" so far.
